1. General
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all contracts, quotations, and services provided by Natural Stone Surfaces Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) to customers (“you”, “your”). By accepting our quotation, placing an order, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. 

 2. Quotations and Orders

• All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. 

• A quotation is not a binding offer and is subject to our confirmation and availability of materials. 

• Orders must be confirmed in writing and are subject to acceptance by us. 

 3. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are quoted in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. 

• A deposit of may be required at the time of order, with the balance due upon completion or as otherwise agreed in writing 

• Payment is due as per our agreement unless agreed otherwise in writing. 

4. Measurement Tolerance

Natural Stone Surfaces Ltd applies a measurement tolerance of ±3mm on all stone overhangs above kitchen furniture to accommodate natural variances in stone cutting and installation. 

5. Quotation Costing and Slab Yield

All quotations are prepared with consideration to the most economical layout possible to ensure the best yield from the slabs of material ordered. Our pricing reflects an efficient use of stone to minimise waste and maximise value, based on industry best practices and our professional expertise. 

 6. Joints in Worksurfaces

Due to the physical dimensions of natural and engineered stone slabs, as well as potential access restrictions at the installation site (such as narrow doorways, staircases, or confined spaces), most worksurfaces may require one or more joints. These joints are planned and positioned with care to maintain structural integrity, aesthetic appearance, and material optimisation.  

7. Material Characteristics

• Natural stone is a product of nature; therefore, variations in colour, texture, veining, and fissures are normal and not considered defects. 

• Samples provided are indicative only and may not match the final product exactly. 

• We are not liable for minor natural variations in the stone supplied. 

 8. Delivery and Installation

• Delivery and installation dates are estimates only and subject to change. 

• We are not liable for delays due to events beyond our control, including supplier delays, weather, or site readiness. 

• It is your responsibility to ensure site access and readiness for delivery and installation. 

 9. Title and Risk

• Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery or installation. 

• Title to goods does not pass until full payment is received. 

 10. Warranties and Liability

• We warrant that the services will be carried out with reasonable skill and care. 

• Our liability is limited to the cost of the product or service supplied. 

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or damages. 

 11. Cancellations and Returns

• Orders may not be cancelled or amended once production has commenced. 

• Due to the bespoke nature of stone products, returns are not accepted unless the product is faulty or does not match the order. 

 12. Intellectual Property
All designs, plans, photographs, and drawings remain our intellectual property and may not be copied or used without prior written consent. 

13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be addressed through mutual negotiation.  

14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
